A Lady on a Plane
August 4, 2008 on 11:42 am | In Encouragement | No CommentsIf you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I’ve had a really tough couple of weeks. I visited my hubby in Dallas and within a few days was rushed to the Emergency room on the 4th of July.
I have been suffering with pain and a little uncertainty at what was wrong with me, and I am looking to go to the doctor when I get home, as my visit was cut extremely short.
Stress piled up with business and real estate, my mind running…
I was quite upset today to leave Dallas and my husband…to say the least…I was very tearful and just trying to get through the day.
I got on the plane, last, as I almost missed my flight due to airline changes unbenonced to me…
Obviously looking as though I just wiped my tears away before I got off the plane, I was maneuvering my way to my seat in the back of the plane, as a lady grabbed my arm forcefully.
She looked me right in the face with such a sweet and calm voice, and said, “I’m praying for you.”
Wow! That just warmed my heart that someone would not only go out of their way to pray for me, but wanted me to know it, and wasn’t ashamed to tell me in the midst of a packed plane.
It was tear jerking to me as I thanked her. She gave me a sweet calmness on that flight and gave me some more strength to make it through my day.
She had no idea what was wrong with me, unless the Lord showed her, but she was convicted enough to console and pray for another person!
I don’t know her name and didn’t see her again after the flight, but she made an impact in my life today and I wanted to share this with you to encourage you when you feel the need to encourage someone else.
God Bless Her in Her Coming in and Her Going Out! I’m praying for her too!

July 29, 2008 on 6:11 pm | In Heaven, Sin, salvation | No CommentsOne day, everyone on this earth will have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ, have had the chance to accept Him and God’s anger toward sin will be totally unleashed.
Jesus, the “Lion”, will return triumphant and the rightful ruler, and will defeat Satan.
Satan, evil and his agents will be defeated. False religions will be destroyed and those who have loved and accepted Jesus will be rewarded with eternal life.
But those who refused to accept the love of Jesus and him as Lord and Savior will have to face eternal punishment.
Terror Terror Terror
To make this short: there will be many thrown into the lake of fire, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, torture, torment, and the world will be empty (without any love) without any happiness and joy.
1 Choice 2 Sides (Choose Your God)
You either love one and hate the other, or
Love one and despise the other.
In this world, there are only two choices…Good and Evil.
You are either on the side of God or of the Devil. There is no gray area.

July 23, 2008 on 11:11 am | In Fears, Forgiveness, Heaven, Jesus | 1 CommentHe Was Assured Heaven
Luke 23:39-43
One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself - and us, too, while you’re at it!”
But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you are dying? We deserve to die for our evil deeds, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.”
Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”
And Jesus replied, “I assure you, to day you will be with me in paradise.

July 15, 2008 on 3:09 am | In Churches, Marriage | No CommentsI was doing some research today on the Emergent Church as I was unsure exactly what this term actually meant…
According to Wikipedia:
Dr. R. Todd Mangum, Associate Professor of Theology and Dean of Faculty at Biblical Seminary, describes it this way:
“Emergent” is a loosely knit group of people in conversation about and trying experiments in forwarding the ministry of Jesus in new and different ways, as the people of God in a post-Christian context. From there, wide diversity abounds. “Emergents” seem to share one common trait: disillusionment with the organized, institutional church as it has existed through the 20th century (whether fundamentalist, liberal, megachurch, or tall-steeple liturgical). Its strengths: creative, energetic, youthful, authentic, highly relational. Its weaknesses: somewhat cynical, disorganized, sometimes reckless (even in the theological ideas willing to be entertained), immature…”
I believe, then, that “The Secret” and Oprah’s “newly forming church” would fall under this category, from what I can gather.
I also found some interesting information on it on Horizon.org, and wanted to pass it on to you.
While I was at this site, they also had some other great information on a wide array of topics including “I Want a Better Marriage” (Who doesn’t want to make their marriage even better?).
The pastor, Dr. Bob Botsford, actually serves on the advisory for the Billy Graham School of Evangelism and is the host/ teacher on “Testify,” a daily radio program broadcast in Southern California on KWVE 107.9 FM and KPRZ 1210 AM.
His ministry is at Horizon North County and they also have the Horizon Prep and Preschool. Very cool.
So, if you’re looking to Find a Church in Rancho Santa Fe, you might want to check out Horizon.org.

June 22, 2008 on 8:59 pm | In Forgiveness, Videos | 3 CommentsI think all of us have luggage of some shape or size that we are carrying around. Many of us are so tired from the burden and the weight that it feels you can’t even function.
It can be even more frustrating to see others walking quickly past us, hardly carrying a thing, while we lug around huge bags and trunks of hidden hurts and pains!
You may look snazzy with all that beautiful luggage in all shapes and sizes, and you may be covering up the discomfort and tiredness that you have from carrying them. However, those bags can feel like solid iron to carry.
Watch these fabulous videos to get some perspective and assistance with “checking” those bags with the airline, instead of hauling them around from city to city, gate to gate, and flight to flight.

Wow…Really powerful stuff. I really hope you watched the 2nd video all the way through to the end!

June 22, 2008 on 12:17 am | In Forgiveness, Jesus, Prayer | No CommentsThere is one prayer that I ALWAYS include in my daily life…It is often forgotten, but is so fundamentally important, that it shouldn’t be forgotten ever…
Matthew 6:9-13 (King James Version)
Jesus said,
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Ponder those words…really ponder them…It’s instantly calming…
When I’m at my wit’s end, and don’t even know what to say, I’ll utter the Lord’s Prayer…
